The cranes were eating grain from his field, so the farmer set up a trap and caught several of them.
Among them was a stork.
“You can see I don’t belong here,” said the stork. “I’m a law-abiding bird. Please let me go.”
You may well be what you claim to be,” said the farmer. “But I caught you along with these robbers, so you will have to hang with them.”
Moral: You are judged by the company you keep.

Os Grous estavam comendo grãos de seu campo, o fazendeiro então decidiu montar uma armadilha para pegar vários deles.
Dentre eles havia uma cegonha.
“Você consegue perceber que não sou um deles”, disse a cegonha. “Eu sou uma ave obediente às leis. Por favor, deixe-me ir”.
“Você até pode ser o que diz”, disse o fazendeiro. “Mas, eu peguei você junto destes ladrões, então você terá de sair junto com eles”.
Moral da história: Diga-me com quem tu andas e te direi quem és.
