FOX IN CART
A fox, observing a fish cart coming, lay down and pretended to be dead.
The cart man, tempted by the idea of marking some money by selling the fox’s fur, picked up the animal by its tail and flung it into the back of cart among the fish.
Then he resumed his journey. The fox ate his fill of the fish and jumped out of the cart.
A wolf saw him out and asked him what he had been doing in it.
The fox told him and also how he had got into it the first place.
The wolf ran ahead of cart and lay down in its path, pretending to be dead.
The cart man was delighted to find another animal to sell, but he found the animal too heavy to lift.
So he pushed it into a sack, tied the sack to his cart and dragged it away.
A RAPOSA E OS PEIXINHOS
Uma raposa observando um peixeiro vindo com seu carrinho de peixes deitou-se no caminho para fingir que tinha morrido.
O peixeiro teve uma ideia: ganhar algum dinheiro vendendo a pele da raposa; então pegou o animal pela cauda e jogou-o no carrinho com os peixes.
O homem voltou para seu trabalho, então a raposa comeu todo o peixe que estava no carrinho e pulou dele.
Um lobo viu que a raposa tinha pulado do carrinho e, perguntou o que ela estava fazendo.
A raposa contou para o lobo tudo o que fez.
O lobo quis imitá-la e por isso correu para frente do carrinho do peixeiro que vinha pelo caminho. O lobo também fingiu que tinha morrido.
O peixeiro ficou muito feliz por ter encontrado outro animal para vender, mas o lobo era muito pesado para ele levantar.
Aí o peixeiro resolveu empurrar o lobo para um saco, então amarrou o saco no carrinho e saiu arrastando o lobo pelo caminho.
