DEFEATED BY PRIDE
Two roosters fought for supremacy in the farmyard.
Finally one was vanquished and he went and hid himself in a corner of the henhouse.
The victor flew up to the roof of the barn and begin to crow, “I’ve won, I’ve won!"
An eagle swooped down and carried him away and the rooster that had been defeated suddenly found himself unchallenged master of the farmyard.
Moral: The enemy is often defeated by his own pride.
DERROTADO PELO ORGULHO
Dois galos lutavam pela supremacia da fazenda.
Finalmente, um deles foi derrotado e se escondeu no galinheiro. O
vencedor voou para o telhado do celeiro e começou a cacarejar:
- Eu ganhei, eu ganhei!
Uma águia apanhou-o e levou-o para longe e o galo que tinha sido
derrotado de repente se tornou o mestre incontestável da fazenda.
Moral da história: o inimigo é muitas vezes derrotado por seu
próprio orgulho.
